Track differences

Being a new starter, I was wondering  if you can mix the Nickel Silver track with the Steel Alloy or is it better to convert to all of one and which is better?

Dear Jr,
Nickel silver is the superior track material, but both can be mixed if the color differential in the roadbed doesn't bother you.

To add to what Bach Man said - Just keep an eye on the steel track and keep it clean as it can rust.
