Hello, i planed to buy an Proto 2000 SW-8-900 with factory installed DCC and sound, i want to know if i can use this out of box on my DCC layout with all the fonction (sound etc..) i use Bachmann EZ command.

Hi Luc;

The Bachmann DCC can only access ten functions, where as the QSI® system (which the P2K loco have) uses at least twelve functions.

That said, my Atlas FM TMs with QSI® decoders, work well on the Bachmann DCC system.

The E-Z Command Control Center, in Function mode, will turn on/off the sound assigned to Function F1 thru F8.  F10 will turn on/off the headlight. You can not program any of the CVs controlling the sounds.

E-Z Command Control Center does not support any decoder's F9 function.
