I had the same problem with one of mine, no agent here in Western Australia. Contacted Bachmann service in America, explained the problem they provided a new tail shaft (drive assembly) cost about $10.00 which I didn't mind paying. I think it was easier for them to do that than provide small gears that could get lost.

I found the Service Dept staff very helpful, excellent in my books.

Thank you Craig,

I contacted the USofA parts department again.
I hope they react in the way you described!

Hi to all of you
Great news:
I have contact with the USA partsdepartment on the parts needed.
€16,50 included shipping/handling.
I knew in the end Bachmann would not let me down.
I will keep you informed.

Cheers

Hi all,

Today, the box with the essential parts arrived.
A big postal truck delivered them: driveshaft and two crown wheels.
I mounted them right away. Some flash on the driveshaft near the gearbox had to be removed. But then:
The truck purrs along the track!

Thank you Bridget from the parts department
Thank you Craig from Perth Australia for the tip
Thank you Mr Bachmann.
