This is a Bachmann 2-8-0 that I did some work too get it to look more like the IC906 .

new head light, tall side wall tender. new speaker location and a few other mods. A quick switching vid and a run around the layout.

You have to love delayed uncoupling when it works right!

Bachmann should take note of your headlight.  I like the way it reflects off the rails as the train swings around the curve.

I also like your backdrop.  It immediately sets the scene.  Tell us about your railroad.

Growing older is mandatory but growing up is optional.

thanks for the nice comments

Jim...

I based the layout around a simple Chicago industry district Circa 1950-1960 (transition) with a touch of western IL. I did not have alot of room to work with so I made the decision to make it mostly industry on one side of the room yet gave it some trees to separate the city part. the layout is single track with aprox 1 scale mile of a looped mainline. It has 2 sidings for locals to pass each other. each siding holds a loco and 7 cars, 2 track yard, 3 track coal spur, 3 other spurs servicing 4 other buildings. A simple junction that comes from the west and enters the yard run thry. All switches are manual throw, track and switches are atlas flex and snap track. Minimum radius is 22" on the mainline and 18" in the industry Used #6 switches on the main and 4 on the sidings. I use MRC Advanced 2 DCC, they layout is about 5 years old.

Geat movie Trent.  Where did you get the tree back drop?  I've been looking for something similar.
