Do these new (Can't remember if they're DCC ready or not) USRA 0-6-0's with vandy tender (In new blue box) Still have the same mechanism as the newer standard line (with can motor) 2-6-2's and 2-6-0's and 0-6-0's in the white box? I guess to simplify...Do they still have the split axle design and pick up power through the frame? Or do they have pickup wipers like most of the newer loco's? I can't find a diagram.

I was going to purchase a blue box 0-6-0 and order pony and trailing trucks from the parts department, but if its the same mech, I'll keep my current 2-6-2 the way it is.

Thanks

Check the "Product Reference" section of this site. Diagrams are available there.

Appears to be the same. I don't think Bachmann has updated these in over 10-12 years. Oh well, they are fine runners just the way they are. Just installed a pilot coupler from Kadee's recommendation on their site.
