Turnous for Bachmann EZ Track

Can anyone help me with identifying which turnouts work with what radius track?

I have read that #6 turnouts are better because there is less chances for derailment. So can a #6 turnout be used for 18" radius track?

yes #6 can be used with 18" radius

Dear Boss,
The only turnout with a radius is the standard turnout. Numbered turnouts, i.e. 4, 6, 8, etc., have straight divergent legs. A number four diverges one unit per four units of run; a number 6 is one in six, etc.
To bring any back to parallel with the main will require track trimming.

Why? This is my biggest issue! There needs to be a 22" radius turnout!!!!

This is a DCC On-Board turnout question for the Bach-man.....
Does the decoder that comes with the turnout support CV readback?
Are there programmable CV's in the decoder; eg: CV # 513 to program the address in?
does the decoder support any program modes; eg: paged, register, programming on the main?

Dear At,

A number 5 turnout happens to diverge at an angle that works well with 22"R curves. 

Recipe for the divergent route of an early cutoff configuration:

R#5 turnout divergent route
3 regular 22"R curves (22.5 degrees each)
2 half 22"R curve (11.25 degrees each)
3 regular 22"R curves (22.5 degrees each)
L#5 turnout divergent route

The two half curves allow you to split the inside curve to expand the layout width if necessary.  You could sub in one regular 22"R curve if no expansion necessary.
