I have 3 MTH HO engines and was wondering how to turn the smoke unit off. I have to take it off the tracks when not in use. Also does anyone have a list of the sound features?
PS I have the dynamis, it goes up to function 20

Have you read the instruction manuals?

Below are a couple links.

http://www.ulrichmodels.com/prostores/DCC_Topics/MTH_DCS_and_DCC.pdf

http://extranet.mth-railking.com/pdfapp/pdfs/instruction/80ST16729I.pdf
A side note. MTH is DCS, not completely compatible with DCC. Unfortunately, many people who buy MTH are not aware of this issue and make assumptions that they are compatible.
A couple online DCC dealers smile on the way to the bank after ripping out the DCS decoders and putting in dcc decoders. I have read their comments in a couple DCC forums.
DCS was originally for a specific market but many modelers jump at them thinking their DCC system would handle them.
I cannot comment on the Dynamis.

Thank you Lexon. They work fine on the dynamis. I needed that list of functions. ;D Those instructions helped for my K4, but do you have them for the challenger and the Dreyfus Hudson?

The function instructions are in one of the PDF documents. I have not had time to search anymore. There is a "chance" the instructions apply to all three MTH locos.

The MTH protocols are the same for all their locos as far as I can tell.  Smoke on/off is F8 if I recall correctly.  F17 changes the amount of smoke.  It's all in the manuals and I believe the only one posted at the (weak as ^%$#) MTH site is for the K-4.
