Does anyone have any experience with the (sort of) new Bachmann geeps?  I'm particularly interested in slow speed performance on DCC.  Thanks.

Are you talking about a GP7, GP40, GP50, GP35, GP30, GP38-2?
I don't know anything about the GP7s, but I wouldn't recommend the GP30,35,38-2,40, and 50 for their low speed operation, but they are a good economical loco nonetheless, but a bit loud, and could be a little smoother maybe.

Sorry...I meant the new GP-7's.

OT,

I saw the new GP7 at the last train show.  Looked very nice and well detailed.  The B&O paint scheme and shade is identical to the H16-44 Baby Trainmasters (I have two of those).  Didn't see it run.  Anyway, the overall noise at the train show would have kept me from hearing anything unusual.

If the decoders weren't hardwired in these, I'd buy one in a second.

I have a GP7 that I got for christmas and I love it!! It's a smooth runner for the money.
