I have yet to get a Forney. I like those kind of locomotives, but personaly I think that the Bachmann models are more suited to be bashed into 2-4-0s. I'd like to see more "Old Time" locomotives with fluted domes and spark arresting stacks.

But that can easily be done by the owner of the loco. I've got two 2-4-0s plance for my Wolf Creek & Flagstone RR. One an inside fram and the other and outside one. After seeing how the Mount Blue cab kit looks, it will greatly simplify cab modifications.

another Forney article.  This time in the Narrow Gauge and short Line gazette for Mat/April.  Just more ideas for everyone.

Perhaps this web site could help in locating the "parts" Domes and smoke stack your looking for.

 Just thought.

All they would then need to do is make a new cab and cab floor. Now that wouldn't take too much tooling , would it?

The inside frame tender is perfect and looks great behind a cut down Forney. This is the first Forney to 2-4-0 conversion that I did, sold the loco to a guy in Arizona who built a desert diorama for it, with the Forney on a small wood trestle over a dried up river.
