What are the right size nails for Atlas Code 83 track?

The same for code 100, that is Atlas HO nails/spikes.

Atlas sells what it calls "track nails."  They are #19, 1/2 inch long, with a flat round head.  They'll fit the holes molded into the tie strip.  When you nail down your track, do NOT drive the nail hard up against the tie.  That will deform the tie and narrow the track gauge.  Leave just a little space between the nail head and the tie--like the thickness of an index card.
