I would like to purchase a few tenders but have no idea how long they are.
I hope someone can help.
How long is the Hicken type tender??
I know how long the C&O long vandy tender is.

Also need length on 89842 and 89912 med length vandy tenders.

Thanks

You should have asked yesterday I have a B&O medium length vandy, an unlettered hicken, and an unlettered long vandy tender. I am out of town and won't be back until the weekend. The hicken and long tenders are still new in the box and I'd be willing to sell them to you for whatever I paid for them.

The medium vandy tender measures 4 1/2" in length, the Hicken is 5 1/2" in length.

The VC12 tender looks like the old medium vandy, or is it just because of the trucks?

The VC-12 is a different tank, of C&O design; the original short or medium tank was based on a Harriman (UP, SP) version.

One of the most fascinating things about steam railroading was all the custom designed equipment, structures, and other things, some even as small as machinist's hammers.
