I know the standard remote turnouts match up with 18" radius curves, but does he #4,#5 or #6 match the 22" curves?  I thought I saw that information someplace but can't seem to find it now.  Also tried searching here and googleing and no luck.

Nope, numbered turnouts do not match up with any specific radius.

Dear DNR,

The departure angle of Bachmann's #5 turnout is reasonably close (~12 degrees), but not a perfect match, to a 22"R half curve (=11.25 degrees).

AnyRail.com is a free download.  Try making an inside loop of an early cutoff design using L&R #5s with 6 regular and 2 half 22"R curves in between.

Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik
If your loco is too heavy to lift, you'd better be able to ride in, on or behind it.

Thanks Joe, I'll try the #5, I only need one so if I can't work it in, no big deal.
