Repair of DC only SP Daylight GS4 4-8-4

Hello Members.....the plastic parts on the drive wheel assembly on my loco have cracked up and no longer hold the L and R side together. Does anyone know if I could get those plastic pieces ?  Also does anyone know if the part shown here: http://estore.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=66_68_154&products_id=845  would work to make this repair? My son loves this old SP Daylight with smoke more than any of his many trains and I would appreciate any help. Thanks to anyone that could help us locate these parts or let me know if the above mentioned parts will work.......Jerry

Hello One and All.....Monday, with great expectations by my son and I, I attempted to call the Bachmann Parts and Service Department. I called the service department and got "the recording" I left the information for a call back. I called the Parts department and was very rudely treated and then transferred to "the recording" I left the call back information and patiently waited but never even got a call back  :(  I called this morning (Tuesday) and would have gotten more help if I had called the local dog pound. During the transfer of my call between departments I got to "overhear" things that were being said that confirmed that this was truly a futile attempt to get any help at all from these people.This is truly a sad day for my 8 year old son and for me as well.   >:(

Hello Members one and all........I feel the need to post the following about my recent, "new experience" with The Bachmann Service and Parts Department. I want to thank "the Bach-man" first of all for your taking an interest in this situation and thereby inspiring the people at Bachmann to go above and beyond the normal call of duty in helping me and my son with our parts locating problem. There is another person that played a vital role in this mission.......She heads The Bachmann Customer Service Dept. and in the eyes of my 8 year old son, is a "true angel". I couldn't agree with him more. She is a lovely woman, so very kind and sincere about her work. Her name is Laura, and everything  she went through to obtain those elusive "unobtainium parts" we needed were clearly well above any of my expectations. I could never begin to thank her enough for what she did and I also want to express my gratitude to all involved. Our old SP Daylight is now running beautifully and the aroma of the apple pie smoke oil and the sparkle in my sons eye makes me proud to be a part of the wonderful Bachmann Train family........Thanks Bachmann..........Jerry
