I received a Spectrum 70 ton three truck climax with DCC installed as a replacement for the self destructing Three truck shay I sent back.  I would like to have sound but I can not find out much about obtaining the factory installed Tsunami sound decoder or the speaker.  On another Forum a guy from Canada said the decoder number was SDC01 and the speaker pn was 10066.  Has anyone purchased the decoder and speaker and if so where can I go?  I am not sure if the Tsunami micro will fit because the tender is pretty small... :o

Help!

This should be very similar to the three three truck Shay. Below are some very good links. Store them in Favorites as you will need them. Take time to read though all the links in the links.
Look at the diagram that came with your loco.

Be advised, use the manual for the Tsunami you buy. THe Tsunami in the Factory equipped locos have less features so choose the correct manul. Oh, read and follow the instructions. Some don't until told to.

The below site has free shipping over $75.00 the last time I ordered and they have customer support.

Make sure you order the 8 pin connector. Maybe order a couple more if you plan anymore installs.

Remove the capacitors from the factory PC board.

Jack-

Bachmann does not sell the motion and sound decoder nor can you buy
the exact same one anywhere else. However, richg's suggestions are
good ones.
