Speaking of the Spectrum Richmond 4-4-0s, last night I finally got up the nerve to do something that I needed to do: Uncouple the tender from a locomotive to put it back in its original box.  ;D

I was able to disconnect the wires from the tender to the engine with a pair of tweezers, gentle pulling--and prayer.  ;D

The patient came through the procedure just fine. And so did I.  ;D

I have always used a small jewelers screwdriver to gently pry the connector out of the socket.
That way I do not tug on any wires.

The tweezers made it possible to grasp the plug.
