In Albuquerque, NM, there is a group rebuilding an ATSF 4-8-4 #2926.   They will finish in 2-3 years.  It would be great to have a Spectrum HO model of this engine.  Here is the link to their website: http://www.nmslrhs.org/index.php

Bachmann already sells that class if engine in HO

From what I've seen, Bachmann Sells the 3776 class 4-8-4, thinking 3783 and 3784 (the one i own) are the 2 road numbers available currently. The famous 3751 is the same wheel base but belongs to a different breed of loco (stat wise).

You're right. The existing Bachmann Santa Fe Northerns are models of the road's greyhounds. (Actually, they aren't all the same class.) The 2900 Class were huge brutes -- massively powerful and very fast. Indeed, an accurate 2900 Class would have trouble negotiating the curves on most model pikes, which is why I don't expect to see a plastic one. I'm grateful for my brassie.
