How do I install the smoke unit on my 4-8-4?
How does it get power to work?
      Thanks for your help

John-

We would ordinarily need more information to help you with this, like which loco you are working on and whose smoke generator
are you trying to use. However, the best help actually doesn't require any of this: Skip the smoke generator all together. They put
out only anemic smoke at best and make a real mess of your loco and layout in the process. The smoke is actually mineral oil vapor --
that's why you can see the "smoke" -- which condenses as soon as it leaves the smoke generator and deposits itself on the top of
your loco and on the surrounding scenery. This, in turn, will hold dust and crud, making your trains and layout look crummy.
