k4 4-6-2 Problem

Hi, I am a newbie and recently bought a new K4 4-6-2 Spectrum. All of a sudden when I put it on the track the digits on the controller starts to flash and nothing else will happen. Is there anything I can check/test to find the fault?

WHAT system are you using? Sounds like you have a short circuit. Might be one of the tender truck got turned around 180 deg. That will cause a short The same thing can happen if the front truck is turned around.
