Williams #40601 Southern #1006 F-11 Ten Wheeler (4-6-0) - prototype?

Just got this model and was wondering if it's based on a true prototype locomotive.  If so, manufacturer and build/retirement dates of the prototype?  Any addtional specs on power?

Closure:  rec'd following from Southern Railway System Yahoo Group member:
 
"... the 1006 was an F-11 but was built by Richmond in 1900 and scrapped Spencer in 1934 would have had 70" drivers. Would have started as Southern 335."
