Index cards cut into 1/4" wide strips can be handy for cleaing junk from between wheel backs and wheel wipers. Just slide the strip between the two and it will remove any lint, hair, etc. from between the two.

I carefully, after lots of masking, sprayed the underside of the 2-10-0, both loco and tender with professional contact cleaner I use at work and.....................  It worked wonders.  Loco just doesn't stall any more.
