Anyone know a way to rewire a Williams dual motor diesel to slow down the speed?

Hunt

Wire the motors in series is one way.

Not well versed in electric/electronics. How is that done? Can it also be done on dual motor K-line diesel locomotives?

That being the situation, locate someone who is well versed help you with over the shoulder supervision or do the work for you. There are other solutions that may better achieve the top speed you want.

To wire motors in series;

Determine which wire  to motor 1 is positive and which wire to motor 2 is positive. Leave this wire connected to motor 1. It doesn't matter which motor you call #1 as the other will automatically be #2. Disconnect all other motor wires.

Wiring is then completed as follows - Negative side of motor 1 to positive side of motor 2, negative side of motor 2 to ground.

Done.
