Need help please re connecting power to double track.

I am trying to do double track, but cannot figure out how to get the power over to the other track from the power track.  Do I need another rerailer, that would plug into the existing one?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

It sounds like you are laying the track on a surface like a table or rug.  If so, then the normal approach of drilling holes in the surface and running the wires under the surface is not going to work for you.

I am guessing that you are using Bachmann track, which I don't use, so I am not familiar with the options that are available with Bachmann track.  Another member can speak to that.

You can help yourself get the best answer by posting what brand of track you are using and what surface you are putting it on.

That actually sounds like a great idea. That way you wouldn't have to worry about running the wire under one track to get to another track. You probably have to splice two terminal wires together since the extension ones that Bachmann sells have a male end and female end and you would need two female ends. That's if you are using EZ Track.

I am using ez track on a 4 X 8 table, that I can drill holes in if needed.  I have one retailer or power track.  I want to get that power to an adjacent track.  Can I use a crossover?  Or do I have get another power track and connect it via a extension wire to the existing power track?

Since a terminal track is cheaper than a crossover, you could use Female Quick-Connect terminals to make your own Female-Female cable to connect two power tracks on seperate loops together. It's been a while since I built one, so I don't remember if the Quick-Connect size is 3/16" or 0.110" that fits the Male connectors on the EZ-Track. The nice thing about building your own is you can color code the wires to keep polarity straight. Or use lamp cord, which is smooth on one side and ridged on the other.
