Do you mean a "dcc decoder"?

Not much info. If it has an eight pin socket, plug in a quality decoder with eight pin socket.
Don't like saying this but from what I have read here, too much discussion of other brands are frowned up here.
Trains.com forums are wide open and a  couple pictures would help. Many more people there.
