How tight will a flex track bend ?  I need to make a "U Turn/ turn around" on a board 30 inches wide. Am using Bachman EZ-Track and would like to stay with that if possible.

Flex track will make extremely tight turns - 5" radius or less, which is tighter than 99% of models will be able to go around. For your 30" board, that means you need a radius about 13" +/-, which might be too tight for your equipment to use. You might need to enlarge your board.

Are you using a door for your layout? Just curious.

4-wheel locos can be entertaining on those:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPou78TrVlU

Just because you can do something does not mean that you should do it.  :D

You could make an 'L' girder, imagine the 'L' upside down, using 1x3 boards and widen your table by enough to use 15" radius EZ-Track. That will limit what locos you can use, but it's way better than trying to crank flex-track down tight enough to fit on a 30" board.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

What are you going to run?  An 0-2-0? 😱😮😂😂

I've actually seen those, with a rigid coupling to the tender.  :P
