Is this available dcc ready?  I need a 0-6-0 or 0-8-0 plug and play for dcc and sound.

The new Standard Bachmann 0-6-0 is a very nice running model.  I have two bashed ones with operating front couplers.  However all pickup is from the locomotive.  If you just want plug and play,  or want DCC and sound with the locomotive, buy a P2K one.  Depending on your era, the 0-8-0 might be the better choice.  The USRA 0-6-0 came at the end of the new 0-6-0's and most railroad were headed straight towards the 0-8-0.  Which is not to say that there weren't 0-6-0s at the end of steam.  There were, but they were all older.

Thanks.  I have the Proto 2000, and need a second for my additional switching yard I'm adding.

Be warned that the Bachmann USRA 0-6-0 does NOT have an operating front coupler.  If you are going to use it as a switcher you will have to modify it in some way.
