I am new with DCC. I have a DCC locomotive that says it is DCC Ready. What do I need to do to make it DCC. Thank You for any help please

Either plug in or solder in a decoder. Depends on which loco. Which scale, loco?
I had a couple DCC ready locos which required soldering.

What type of locomotive are you looking to convert?

I just looked at a photo of the PC board. Pull the DC adapter and plug in a decoder of your choice. A decoder with an eight pin plug.
The photo is in the Parts page.

A small eight pin decoder. A DZ126PS is small and good for one amp. There are other brands.

The DZ series decoders do not have the 8 pin plug. A DH126PS or DH166PS would have the 8 pin plug. The 166 would be a premium decoder with back emf (cruise control) but either one would be a good choice.

DZ126PS decoder with eight pin plug. I think that is an eight pin plug. Maybe I am wrong. I soldered the wires on a DZ125 some years ago to a eight pin plug.
