I just purchased a Walthers Antique Barn (Yellow) kit.  I am new to this and did not realize I would have to glue the thing together.  I would appreciate any recommendations as far as which glue to use.  A specific brand and type for ease of use.  The instructions state that all parts are styrene.  Thanks in advance.

If you put 'styrene glue' in the Walthers search box you'll get a list of what they have available. You may be able to find the same brands cheaper elsewhere.

Personally, I prefer Fallers 'Expert' and 'Super Expert' glues. The difference is working time. 'Expert' gives you a chance to adjust things if needed to get them to line up. 'Super Expert' is more for pieces that are already clamped together, like wall corners, where capillary action will pull the glue between the pieces. It sets up fairly fast.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

Thanks Len.  Do you have any recommendations as far as paint?

Several thin coats are better than one thick one.

Not wanting to get involved in any "religious wars", I never make paint brand recommendations.
