This does give me an idea: IF the Open Wagon, Closed Van, AND the Brake Van was already made (maybe even throw RWS Thomas into the mix too), but they couldn't ship it due to the situation a couple months ago, could they alternatively make it as a "train pack" set akin to the Tomy/Tomica rolling stock sets released back in the mid-2000's? Instead of including the track as the "sets" they usually make it as, couldn't they do it as a "value pack" looking like that, only for Electric Trains? Just throwing it out there as an idea so that they can potentially be "uncanceled" since it sucks that the only thing I was looking forward to was the brake van because of how different it was in basis...!

The decision was made to cancel the set before production began, so we don't have Thomas or any of the rolling stock actually made.

Ahh, I see. That answers that. Thank you for answering Yard Master sir! If anything I never expected that part, but at the same time, understandable why the set got canceled.

I was looking forward to seeing that unique brake van we never saw released since it would've been a unique basis we've never seen before (and probably the 3rd new version overall to be released after the regular brake van/Spiteful Brake Van and Toad in HO/OO Scale if it was released without interruption).

Has anybody every thought about recreating Bachmann BoCo who appeared in Series 2 1986 episode The Diseasel through to Series 5 1998 episode Double Teething Trouble which was his last episode after the fifth series he disappeared from the television screens he was the only character from season 2 that didn't appear in Series 6 2002 CGI and the new series he and Trevor are the only two characters from Series 2 that haven't been released on Bachmann HO scale however he is in the model brand name called ERTL but if you like this character and would like to see him released in HO scale in the future please let me know thanks

JLK2707

I would just love a Bachmann BoCo. :)

TrainFan97

Don't know if BoCo ever will get made since he hasn't actually appeared in the show since 1998, but we can never say never. Especially since the CGI mandate was debunked. I still wouldn't get my hopes up on it happening anytime soon. Characters like Whiff, Hiro and Norman are in much higher demand for HO Scale.

We have no idea what the 2026 reboot will look like yet, but BoCo could possibly return there. It's said to appeal to both old and new fans.
My wishlist for HO Scale: Stepney, BoCo, Fernando, Norman, Den, Dart, Porter, Samson, Timothy, Whiff, Hiro, Winston, and Green Salty.
My wishlist for N Scale: Edward, Spencer, Flying Scotsman, Duck, Oliver, Mavis, Sidney, 'Arry and Bert.

I could see a Boo in the future, as he could maybe reuse the chassis from Daisy? Modified for the Eye-mech and proper wheel configuration, of course. I definitely see other characters like Hiro or Whiff being made first due to being much more popular.
Praying for a Thomas x Transformers collaboration.

Has anyone ever thought about creating Trevor who appeared in series 2 1986 episode Saved From Scrap he has appeared in series 6 2002 CGI and the new episodes he and BoCo are the only two characters from season 2 1986 that have not been released in Bachmann HO scale however next year 2026 will mark 40 years since Trevor Duck Harold Diesel Donald Douglas Daisy Bill Ben and BoCo came out on television series 2 1986 in Thomas and Friends however he is in the model brand name ERTL and the 2nd design is Scrap Trevor where he is in rust colour but if you like Trevor and would like to see him released in HO scale in the future please let me know thanks

Jake, I keep seeing topics merged because you keep starting new topics rather than posting your suggestions here in the first place.

Does anyone think that if Bachmann Trains can afford it, they could retool the existing Thomas and friends range to have proper separate bearings on the driving wheels of each character locomotive, no moving eye mechanism (I don't like the moving eye mechanism, because it puts a load on the motor that also has to drive the wheels, and it leaves a gap in the faces of each character.) a DCC socket, and if possible, a water based smoke unit? (Though this would only be for the HO scale STD gauge character locomotives because I don't think it would be possible in HO scale narrow gauge.) I think Bachmann should definitely do that. Do you guys think that too?

Yard Master

Hi King,

We appreciate the suggestions. If we do any redesigns of existing products, we do plan to keep the moving eyes because we consider them a major selling point for the engines, but we can look into improving performance.
