Regarding the NMRA announcements, I hope the Breakdown Train is announced.

Very happy to see Bachmann picked a "disgruntled" face for the Mainland Diesel. The disgruntled diesel from Journey Beyond Sodor is the most iconic of the Mainland bunch, no doubt because of his banter with James, and when Journey Beyond Sodor came out it was regarded as one of the funniest moments in the movie. I've already seen several people who would've otherwise had no interest in him suddenly want him now simply because it's such a unique and amusing face to use for a model. Bachmann made the right call with him.

At any given day, Bachmann has to post the final images of N Scale Diesel, Paxton, LBSC Thomas, Origin James, HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel, and Large Scale LBSC Thomas. Along with any rolling stock for those scales that are due for release soon. All upcoming products that have painted samples.

Soon, Bachmann's Facebook should show high quality images of HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel. I'll look forward to that.
My wishlist for HO Scale: Stepney, BoCo, Fernando, Norman, Den, Dart, Porter, Samson, Timothy, Whiff, Hiro, Winston, and Green Salty.
My wishlist for N Scale: Edward, Spencer, Flying Scotsman, Duck, Oliver, Mavis, Sidney, 'Arry and Bert.

After looking at the new HO Scale 08s more closely, I realized the front cab windows aren't painted. I double-checked the other 08s by Bachmann, and they are in fact painted on those models. This may be a small thing, but I hope it is corrected on the final models.

You're the first person to notice. It's also like that on N Scale Diesel and Paxton. Hope that can be fixed on their final models, and have those front cab windows painted. N Scale Diesel and Paxton, along with HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel should have painted front windows.

That is no good. It looks especially bad on Mainland Diesel in my opinion.

Yard Master, I hope you'll see this and address this before the models are released. Hopefully it was just an oversight.

The front cab windows not being painted silver is intentional. These windows are painted over/blanked out on both Sidney and the Mainland Diesels in the show.

The more you know. My apologies for the confusion. I'm so used to the silver windows on the Bachmann 08s that it stood out to me as inaccurate. It looks like all the 08s in the CGI series have blanked out windows. Never noticed it until now. Thank you for clarifying!

Awesometrain77

Crazy they  forgot the windows when designing them in the show .

I honestly really think they did a good job of these repaints .

TrainFan97

So it wasn't an accident that all the new Class 08 models don't have silver front cab windows, as they're all painted over in the show. Even Diesel had his front cab windows blanked out. Though Paxton's HO and Large Scale models had silver front cab windows.

Though I don't understand why they got painted over in the show, as how is a driver supposed to see through them?

The CGI era has a lot of weird inconsistencies with paintjobs. It's funny how the Bachmann models highlighted them three times, too; first Toad only having letters and numbers on one side, then Paxton having a black buffer beam, and now this.
