0-4-0 Porter Died

I bought a used 0-4-0 Porter and without thinking about anything, started to change CV's on the program track.  Then I realized that the factory DCC may not have the same CV's so I used CV8 - 8 to return the unit back to factory CV settings.

Much to my surprise and delight the little engine had great chug sound, loud bell and whistle, etc.

The next day I wanted to enjoy the little engine again but it's dead.  It won't respond to any input.  I've tried repeatedly to CV 8 -8 to bring it back to factory settings but it's just dead.
