Street car pick up shoes

Is there a way to install pick up shoes on a Bachman Christmas trolly? It looks like there's a place to do it between the wheels and am wondering if there. Are off the shelf parts, or something has to be improvised. I'm having issues keeping trolly running on tracks I set up in front yard for holidays and since my other locomotives with pick up shoes work so well, I'm thinking this could solve my issue.
