I've been asking Bachmann for years, and I shall continue to do so-All I want for Christmas is a 2-6-2, a 2-6-2  a 2-6-2. Come on, sing it with me.......  In 1904 Baldwin Locomotive Works built the first Prairie for the Sandy River Railroad (#8) in two foot gauge.  In 1907 Baldwin Locomotive Works built a beautiful Prairie for the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway (#6) in 2 foot gauge. These two locomotives were so close to one another that with the exception of an extra sand dome on the WW&F version, they were pretty much sisters.  Seems to me that building a model of of either one would ultimately (with a bit of modeling on our part) allow the introduction of two very useful locomotives to Bachmann's repertoire, not to mention how much we modelers would appreciate them. Bachmann has already produced an On30 2-6-6-2 that runs like a top and I'm sure could easily be used as a basis for an On30 Prairie. Let's keep asking-and Merry Christmas to all of you On30 folks!       John Tumolo

Seconded!  I've been asking for a real model of a 2-6-2, not that smoking 0-6-0 with pilot and trailing trucks stock on, for years.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.

I keep hoping that when enough of us have asked something will happen.  I so miss Lee Riley being there-he would have gone to bat for us, I'm sure.  He's the reason we got On30 from Bachmann in the first place, not to mention the Forneys.

I'll drink to that!!!

I think with the revitalization of the EBT, we need a On30 EBT Mikado. This would really open the On30 world up for Bachmann to offer all of the EBT prototype cars, be it freight, passenger, the M1 doodlebug ect.  Even give us building kits that are EBT specific.  Would be a big seller for Bachmann with the way they are bringing the whole EBT back to life.

I'm just going to beat my dead horse and the be one of the few who suggest another Mogul but 19th century 8-18d like Glenbrook. It would be a great addition as it could be bashed into so many other models, such as an Eureka 8-18c 4-4-0 or anything on an Ho chasse. Just my 2cents

Rock On!

Other line I would love to see Bachmann add to the On30 line up is stuff for Argent Lumber Company.  Offer their #3 2-6-0 Porter Mogul, the water tank car, the log cars already in the line up are close enough.  The Mogul with its big headlights(including the reverse one on the cab roof), unique tender make it a no brainer in On30.  I have the brass On3 version from Flying Zoo, but the lack of ready to use track in that scale keep that beautiful model in the china cabinet.  Time for some fresh product in this line Bachmann!!
