E7 motor

I have an E7 that appears to have a bad motor.   The motor used appears to not longer be available.

Are the other available motors adaptable to the E7 trucks ?  The worm gear comes off the E7 so is it a matter of replacing the gear?

Is Bachmann planning to offer the motor again?
