Will the new Davenport have metal gears? When will it be available for preorder?

It's supposed to have a diecast frame, metal gears, and sound.  I sent an email asking if there was an approximate delivery date and never heard back.
Hopefully this isn't going to be like the "upgraded" Heisler that vanished from the catalog because there was not enough distributor pre-orders.

My hobby shop never received notification of Heisler. Trainworld never had it listed. It would help if Bachmann would notify customers of pre-order dates.

Can you preorder the Davenport currently?

I, too, would be interested in more info on the new Davenport. I have an original one, but after having replaced the drive train three times due to split gears, I've given up and it looks real pretty sitting in the yard.

The Davenport will be upgraded with all metal gears.

We hope to have it open for pre-orders in the next few months, as soon as we receive pricing information from the factory. I'll make another post when it is available for pre-order through dealers.
