AMERICAN FREEDOM TRAIN PASSENGER CARS FROM BACHMANN

I understand that Bachmann is going to bring out four American Freedom Train Passenger Cars in HO scale sometime this year (2026). My question is, are these the same American Freedom Train Passenger Cars that Lionel brought out in the late 1970's, or are the totally different, if so in what ways. Thanks for your help.

Hi Ricky,

These cars are new tooling for Bachmann, using a combination of our existing 72' Baggage Car model and new car sides. These cars will feature interior lighting, metal wheels, and body mounted E-Z Mate knuckle couplers.

I just received my AFT along with the add on cars.
Are there plans to release cars 105 through 110?
Also any plans for the rest of the train?

Hi Kevin,

Cars 105, 106 and 107 were just announced as part of our mid-year announcements. They will ship in 2027.

Cars 108, 109, and 110 are planned for a future release. Any additional cars beyond that have not been decided on yet.
