I have a Pa. big hauler passenger train that is equipped with smoke and synchronized sound: however, I would like to know if there is a computer chip or board (that I could add to the synchronized sound located in the coal tender) or possibly a track (or track hook-up) that would enable the train engine to have a whistle and bell sound, just like other trains.

Reno,
There are no on-board electronics to produce a whistle or bell sound.

What you hear is all the system will produce.

You would have to add an after-market sound system to get the whistle and bell.

Yes there are severl brands of aftermarket sound boards you could install to get bell & whistle.  The lower cost units are made by Dallee,  or the QSI brand units.

Try typing those brands into Google, you shoud get some idea as to what is avalible
