I've got to say that wood kits are very fun to build and overall just much more flexible and easily realistic than plastic. I haven't done many structures in wood but I have done a fair number of old wood sheathed cabooses from juneco scale models that look great and are fun to build. They require a fair bit of sanding and filing but I find that fun and I'm always proud of it in the end. The only thing I'm not keen on is building things in wood that ARENT made out of wood. Like steel sided freight cars which I have done. You just don't get that true wood caboose feeling with them.

Bob,

The wheels actually move! :o

Tylerf,
You make me want to buy some wood kits, although, it would be a nice change. Just to mix things up a bit.
