Title: Bachmann ON30 logging engines
Post by: GeorgeJ1 on December 19, 2009, 01:17:45 PM
I enjoy the pleasure of operating an ON 30 layout at a friend's home.  There is an assortment of Shays, Heislers and other engines,  all Bachmann with DCC on board.  Recently we tried to set various CV's to fine tune operations.  I can set CV 2 start voltage and CV's 3 and 4 but cannot set CV 5 max speed nor CV 6 mid speed.  The print-out does not mention CV's 5 and 6.   Are they not supported by Bachmann decoders?

I do not believe they are supported. These decoder just have a few basic CVs.

The basic decoder only supports 1 thru 4.  The decoder instruction PDF is under "site map" and E-Z Command .

Thanks for the info.  I forgot to mention the ON 30 layout is controlled by Digitrax Zypher.  My own HO layout is Digitrax DCS 100.  The Atlas engines with Dig..... DH163 series decoders work just fine.  George

Tsunami decoders work just fine with my Digitrax too.  But what is not there, you cannot program.  Click on this link and go to page 61 for a list of all the CV's in the Bachmann Tsunami.

Clicking on this link will will take you to the Tsunami Technical Reference Manual which explains what all of the 132 CV's do.
