What Jonathan is looking for is the manufacturer's name, what product this part is for, and if it is still being produced. Thee is more, but for the sake of simplicity this shall do for openers.

Closest that I found on e-bay is a Branchline Coach passenger car.
Otherwise, there are a lot of old single unit Bachmann power packs
that are labeled:
6600,
6604,
6605,
6607,
and
6609.
