Hi, as I am converting the bachmann toby into a finscale J70 tram loco, could I probably install this?

I have several MRC steam decoders, all of the Brilliance line which is now discontinued. When they work, they are wonderful. Some say they are better than Tsunami. But I've had a high failure rate.
