is the bachmann auto reverse module #44912 all that is required or is there a need for an additional power supply for the isolated loop section to accomplish the reversal? thanks
You also need a DCC system, it will not work with a DC controller.
thanks acy, i have the bachmann ez command dcc controller. my concern is that i'll need an additional power source for the reverse loop. how does the loop get powered? bachmann calls for special insulated track to work the loop and i'm guessing the loop module collects power from the powered rail that precedes the insulated rail. but i've read somewhere that such a loop requires 2 amp power which seems to indicate a need for some sort of booster since the dcc controller is a 1 amp system.
arthur,
The reverse loop module get's it's power from the rails. The only thing needed is the 9' power terminal w/ insulated gaps PN 44597.

This is Bachmanns video of the module. Fast forward to 4:55
You have enough power thru the EZ Command unless you are running alot of trains.
