ok i hope this came out what im showing is a powered tyco boxcar dcc with sound.
i used a FA powered unit from bachmann and most boxcars do work for this.
why would i do this on my smaller steams locos i like this to give more pulling power and less strain on the drivers of the steam.
this one unit i posted goes behind a sd-40 to have sound and give more power also i have close to 6 boxcars done and about 8 old F7s done so they can work just like the new stuff does. not much work into them and very easy to build DAve
Dave
I see the pics just fine.
Tom
it dont show on my end in the
post
im new at this part lol
The links show up, which is fine. If you copy and paste the bottom link option, the photo will appear in your post. I've done the powered Box car before. Never added sound... Very neat.

Jonathan

Something to be aware of. Choose your albums in Photo Bucket and do not move a photo. You will get a warning the last I knew that where you posted the photo, it will be gone. Just add the photo to the new album.
You can delete a photo in a forum posting and put in a better photo. Lots of little things you can do. If you do not like the thread you made, you can delete that and start over.
You can do videos in You Tube but try to use a tripod. Quite a few make videos in You Tube with a hand held camera and are quite shaky. I have done that. Review your video carefully, before posting. Just like model railroading, pictures and videos can look quite different than just looking at your layout.

i feel i have taken a another step in modeling the railroad or share my successful ideas. almost like learning the first time in changing a CV. just a couple of weeks ago my old flip phone of 6 yrs died . so i bought a Iphone 4 for just .99 cents.
i haven't really built a layout i really want yet but i do have a floor layout the fills my upstairs almost (one bedroom left) and i did post a train ride one that was on my facebook account in show me your layout discussion. it took a weekend of filming and yet theirs a couple of issues with it. i just decided i had enough for the weekend . ill take your advice and do another film session soon . yes i use a tripod or set it up that i only touch go and stop . my assistant (brakeman) has alot to learn also when we full run my trains. i will deleted this thread in a couple of days and do a correct one showing my dcc box car conversions so other railroad fans can learn to try to do. it has solved putting sound in a loco that has not much room and just add it to any other train i want sound on . i can run to infinite of cars with with just a few locos heading the train with powered box cars stuck here and there to help pull and stop and backup. i have used those old pancake motors F7s from bachmann and tyco and made them come to life the ones i like the most and i had when i was younger . back to take some passangers to their destination . i want to build one with that gets hot wheels that makes the squill sound and a orange LED to show its hot on the wheel set through a simple sound decoder.
Ive been doing trains for three years now (hooked) what got me back was the DCC and much better quality of railroad merchandise on the market at lower cost . Dave
