Title: Automatic grade crossing signal
Post by: tgerman1 on August 17, 2015, 02:25:25 PM
I recently purchased a Berkshire 2-8-4 Pere Marquette N scale. All seems to be okay except I can't get It to sound the automatic grade crossing signal. If somebody could give me some place to look, I'd like that. I've checked the cv values, cv 195 equals 4. I've quickly changed my speed 8 steps, to no avail. Thanks.

Are you operating in DC or DCC mode?

Set CV 195 to the lowest whistle sensitivity and that should work.

Thanks for the quick response. I am currently using DCC, however it won't work in either mode. I'll try setting it to a 1 and see what happens. I'll let you know. Thanks.

I set CV 198 to 1 and that works nicely. Thanks. I see from the Tsunami user guide that bit activates the automatic grade crossing signal Whoops! Shame on me for missing that. I adjusted CV 195 to a higher value, like 10.
