Thomas & Friends / Re: Future suggestions/predict...

Hi. I'm currently new to this Bachmann forum. And yes, I'm a big Thomas and friends fan. Anyway, I agree with everyone that Edward and Henry would be next for N scale from Thomas and friends. And I also strongly agree that the cgi mandate is unfair. Plus the cgi mandate is irrelevant and unnecessary, especially considering how the show was rebooted in the first place.

Could you maybe send a picture of that? Cuz I'm not quite sure what you're talking about as I only got into model railroading recently.

I don't think that's the issue. I have tried it on my layout and two other layouts at some friends houses.

As much trouble as that thing has caused you, you should consider calling the Bachmann Service department and see if they'll work on it for you, or even better, replace it with a similar one.

After seeing HO Scale Rebecca fully painted, she would look great in N Scale too, but N Scale doesn't even have Edward and Henry yet, and after Henry, the next priority for a 'big' engine in N Scale would be Spencer.

Bachmann is just waiting for the unpainted samples of Sir Handel and Stanley to arrive, and they could literally be teased any day, with full unpainted reveals within the next few months.

I find it interesting that it is loan and interest payments that are tipping the scale. The operating revenues are enough to turn a profit if it weren't for the loans. This begs a couple of questions.....

Kader used to make product for other manufacturers besides Bachmann. Is that no longer the case? If so, how much did the loss of this business contribute to the overall losses?

I assume much of the debt the company has incurred is related to development of new product. Should we expect to see fewer new locomotives in the future, and a concentration on what is selling well in the existing line? I for one would hate to see the GP40s and GP38-2s become unavailable.

How will this affect the parts store? WIll spare parts become harder to obtain?

Dear 203,
Well, I certainly do, too!
And there are no plans to discontinue steam locomotives in ant scale.
Have fun!
