Title: Nickel Plate Road
Post by: Old Timer on January 13, 2013, 09:01:09 PM
I know it has been mentioned in the past, but I would REALLY like to see a locomotive in Nickel Plate Road markings added to the list of GP-9's.

I see many requests like this on manufacturers/importers web sites but never see any responses from them.

Has any company set up a site where requests can be made concerning equipment?

How does a company decide what to have made?

Dear All,

We made several production runs of Nickel Plate GP-9s just prior to Bachmann purchasing the assets of Williams. Keep looking on eBay, train shows, and Dealers with "new" old stock. There should be plenty of them out on the secondary market.

Regards,

How about doing the later 3 stripe on the nose scheme.  That is the one I'm most familiar with.   ;D

Have you tried Western Depot for some of the older but yet new Williams engines?
He has a lot of older Williams stuff for sale, www.westerndepot.com

I just bought a set of these from yorktrains. Not cheap but not more than other listed 2012 cataloged items. Maybe they have another.
