 More info.
Brand new Zephyr, new track (but will go the attached clip route).
Tried the blind route, nothing happened.
Had the Distributor for Digitrax come over and try, no success.
Will Visit Radio Shack and buy 100 ohm resistor tomorrow (if not today).
Just didn't want to burn anything up before asking.

Thanks everyone.

did he just lay (or) attach the resistor across the track while programing? That's what it sounds like.
Thanks for the info.

 I have 7 Bachmann Engines. 3 Steam, 4 Diesels.
All but two I could change address. Other two (new) cannot change from #03. One is a Spectrum Item #83313, other Basic Blue box #60602.
Any suggestions ?
Thank You

HO / some suggestions for draw bars
August 16, 2008, 12:51:55 PM
A while back, I purchased a couple of steamers (DCC) and had trouble keeping the draw bar in place while placing Engine & Tender on the track.
Some good suggestions where given here (one was the Rix Rerailer).
But while at the Anaheim Convention a vistor was watching me struggle with this. There was also a rough spot on the track at the end of a bridge that each time the engine went over it, the tender can disconnected.
He suggested adding a small piece of soft rubber tubing to the end of the draw bar pin.  "This worked great."
I have also "Carefully" bent the draw bar into kind of a Z or S shape. This raised the draw bar just enough to help also.
Thanks for all the suggestions and just wanted to pass this along.

HO / engine to temder connection
July 14, 2008, 01:12:36 AM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm NEW to all this. My question IS, what are the two little "clips?" included with my new "HO" 4-8-4 Bachmann steam engine. My guess is to "retain" the draw bar between the tender and Locomotive.  But nothing in all the papers with the box says anything about this.  It's almost impossible to connect the tinder to engine without getting at least one truck off the track.
I feel dumb asking, but so far no one has an answer. I purchased it on the internet, so no one there to ask.
Thank you for any help that can be given
