Title: E-Z Command Dynamis -How to reset a decoder
Post by: Geoffrey01 on January 03, 2011, 04:36:06 PM
I had to have my Dynamis replaced last week due to a computer malfunction.  I have managed to get all my locos working again except one. I am unable to find out the the decoder address I originally gave it (stupid me I lost the paper with all the codes I had assigned the locos). Reading the Dynamis user guide there does not appear to be any, if there are,  instructions on how to reset a loco decoder. The BNSF 812 is the loco.
Is there a way I can reset the decoder?

Place it on the track by itself no other locos on the track the select service track mode then select cv8 and set the value to 8 the resets the decoder back to factory default settings, if you don't want to reset the whole decoder, I believe you can just use service track mode and write the address you want. Be sure it's the only loco on the track or it will write to all of them.
