Title: converting oil burning tender for coal burning
Post by: uscgtanker on April 30, 2013, 02:06:58 PM
Recently A friend purchased a 2-10-0 with oil burning tender. He is modeling CNW and would like to convert the tender. Is there parts for that conversion that we can get or, was there any oil burners on the CNW with this wheel arrangement.

One of the easier ways to accomplish this is to go on evil bay.  For my way of thinking, I would look at brass as well as plastic.  I have bought several tenders here, and if you play your cards right, you can wind up with a nice model.  One thing applies here as in all of life;  if you do stupid things, P.T. Barnum will appear and slap your hand-real hard...

Search the Internet for, CNW 2-10-0. You will find some info about this loco wheel arraignment. This way you will have links you can store in favorites.
I just did a search.
