Title: E-Z track crossing gate #44579
Post by: chief401 on February 10, 2008, 03:51:23 PM
Does anyone know if the crossing is split up into several pieces?  What I want to do is have the track and one side of the crossing on the edge of the layout.  Effectively having a crossing leading to nowhere.

If it is more than one piece (i.e. track and two side pieces) this would be possible?

Also anyone have this product and have a review?

Thanks in advance.

I read somewhere that the crossing is one piece but could be cut in two.  Hang in there, The Bach-man should be in Monday and will have a better answer.

Meanwhile, here is the product page.

Dear Chief,
The base is molded in one piece, and would require modification with a saw or cutting disc.
Have fun!

Chief--

I have had the EZ crossing gate for a short period of time (about 3 months).  It operates fine so far.  May be someone else who has had it longer than I can chime in.  For $20, if you shop around, I would pick one up and experiment with it.
