Title: E-Z Command Decoder
Post by: majord732 on January 30, 2021, 09:40:57 AM
I just bought a NEW 16x25x5mm 1 amp decoder for one of my engines and I was wondering how can I reset all the CV's back to Factory setting?

Also do most barchmann decoders need to have a bluetooth in the programming.

Thank you

Welcome

CV8, enter 8. Cycle track power. The loco light should flash sixteen times and the loco run on address 3.
It is in the instructions on the Information page I think.

No idea about second question. But here is a link about Bachmann DCC which might help you understand the decoders.

I have one steamer with onboard sound and no Bluetooth. The Bachmann with Bluetooth seem to be specific.

Rich ty on the first part of my question.

And on the second part I should have been much clearer and that is the bluetooth working with the E Z app?

My gutt feeling is that it has to be able to see it.

You might check the EZ App forum.

DCC and EZ App are not the same thing. As a matter of fact, they are two completely different and incompatible ways of controlling the locomotive. The decoder you are asking about is DCC, and has no Bluetooth capability, It must be programmed with a DCC command station capable of doing that.

I guess that is what I meant to say.
